Punishment comes in many forms.
Arbitration proceedings will take time and will happen.
A guilty conscious may be the most punishing
no matter how much you may have in assets.
Miss guided punishment, such as criticism of Wells Fargo Bank,
harms even the hourly worker that has performed commendably.
The bank has performed commendably being the only one not needing the TARP.
Now the bank is being punished after being forced into the agreement.
Wells Fargo should do as Goldman Sacks and say no thank you to the TARP, then give it back.
After that we can party as we should having been correct with our business decisions.
I have argued earlier this year that there are companies managed well and those that are not.
Apple, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo are my favorite examples.
Today, the free market is rewarding commendable behavior with a rally.
After WFC trading at 15, I feel the common stock may rally to 21 and pause.
Then back to the 30's with such a fine yielding dividend.
